The last day!

Image
Good morning, Oak Room Family! We got to have our last birthday celebration of the year today! We wanted to thank you all for sharing your beautiful children with us this year and allowing us to get to know each of them and see them grow and shine. This has been a year of growth, curiosity and fun in the Oak Room and we are so honored to have been a part of your child’s journey.  We wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing some of you next year and send our warmest wishes in the next adventure to those entering kindergarten! With much love, The Oak Room Teachers

Orchestra and Forest

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! This morning we were treated to an orchestra performance by the high school! Then we enjoyed our last forest day of the year snd we’re happy that the cicadas cooperated with forest day!  Tomorrow we are celebrating by bringing a toy or game from home if children choose to!  Have a wonderful day!

It's Doughnut Day!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  Today Ms. Emily treated the class to Doughnuts which was a delightful surprise and we continued the celebration by reading Arnie the Doughnut and then watching a video showing how doughnuts are made.  BW declared "It's Doughnut Day!" and other children agreed.  Please remember that the school closes today at 4pm for the Celebrate the Joy gathering at Blackburn Park! Have a joyful day!

So Much Celebrating!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  Today we celebrated two summer birthdays and our celebrations included baking a hammerhead shark cake, a movie with popcorn, and a dance party!  We were celebrating so much today that we also read a book about Powwow celebrations and then learned part of a Powwow dance and learned about the Powwow Regalia that participants wear.  So much celebration!  Speaking of celebrating, don't forget that tomorrow is the Celebrate the Joy festivities at 4pm at Blackburn Park. Have a joyful day!
