AFC Oak

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! Today was a double celebration! We had a pajama day to celebrate Thanksgiving break plus movie and popcorn to celebrate CC’s birthday! Children have been sharing their plans for the break with each other and we look forward to hearing about their breaks when we return next week! We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful class of children and for all of the support of families! Have a wonderful break!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! Oak Room watched and participated in the Safe Touch presentation this morning. Each student received a Safe Touch coloring book which is in their cubby for them to take home and keep. We are having a pajama day tomorrow for any students who wish to participate. Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  There were a few rockets in the forest today which was a lot of fun and inspired books about the Moon and space for storytime today.  The children have continued to notice fewer leaves on the trees with each trip to the forest and enjoy shuffling the leaves with their feet.  We are so fortunate to have such an amazing resource as the forest here for the children! OH: "We're on a rocket ship!" XH: "My rocket!" Have a wonderful weekend!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  This morning was busy and energetic although not many photos were taken.  Children worked in the classroom, we had a fire drill, we did Baby Doll Circle Time, we played outside, children had a vision screening in the Collaboratory, all before we even had lunch!  The temperatures are dropping so we have reached the time of year to make sure children have coats, hats and gloves so we can continue to enjoy playing outside. GB carefully matching up letter dinosaurs and keeping count as he goes OH: "We're having a tea party! Me and [MH] and [NS] made it" MH: "Ms Lena, we did the whole alphabet!" Have a great day!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  We were fortunate enough to be able to celebrate our beloved Mrs. Singh today on her birthday.  Some children made her cards, some worked together to create a birthday poster for her, and all of the children joined Maple Room in a dance party to celebrate her.  The children worked with a variety of materials and invitations in Acorn, Seedling and Maple rooms during small capers today as well.  What a busy morning! Reminder that tonight is the Family Learning Fair at Ambrose from 6pm until 7pm! Have a great day!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  There is a song that the children enjoy dancing to called Sharks in the Water and today outside on the playground the children were having a ton of fun playing Sharks in the Water with Mrs. Singh.  It was a beautiful morning to be outside! Have a great day!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! What a wonderful morning for celebrating PL’s birthday! PL chose a movie and popcorn to celebrate and we also enjoyed tempura painting this morning and some gym time.  Some children decided to fold their paintings in half to create butterflies. Have a wonderful day!
