9/8/22 - Our First Pupa

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  The children had a surprise today with the mealworm class pets.  Three mealworms had transformed into pupae which generated some conversations about life cycles and  metamorphosis.

Students were asked "What can we draw together?" and they decided to draw a city which was then extended to a city at the light table as well.

Children continue to develop their clay work and generate discussion with each other while they work.
GK: "I'm slicing peaches. The clay is cold and squishy."
RN: "And now for the final touch! It's a weight that when you run and come home you lift it when you exercise."

We hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
