Pancakes and PJ's!

Good afternoon Oak Room Family! What an Amazing and Awesome day we have had! There has been so much excitement flowing through the Oak room.  The children were thrilled to be making colored/rainbow pancakes in the classroom today and couldn't wait to enjoy them.   We asked the question "what's the difference between colored and rainbow?" NP - Colors are all spread out. GP - Rainbows have more colors because the colors red, yellow and blue make all the other colors and rainbows have all the colors not just red, yellow and blue.   How does the color change the pancakes? GP - We use pancake dye that changes the color but they still taste the same.  It was time to get the pancake party started...check it out! JB - E, yours look like peach orange. GP - I'm using all the colors to make it rainbow. CC - Mine is blue! GP - Mine isn't rainbow it looks gray but I know they're going to taste good. BW - It taste so yummy! Celebration!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  This morning was an exceptionally busy day!  We are celebrating 2 birthdays today with a dress up day, dance party and popsicles!  The Bristol Bravos came to Ambrose and gave a concert so festive it pulled the dancing and cheer right out of us!  We said goodbye to a member of Oak Room today and while sad to see them go we are happy for their next adventure and did our best to send them off with all of our love.  Students have been working on thank you paintings for our beloved school cooks and were excited to present their work today.  Sharing meals together is such a central part of our day and we can always feel the love and care put into those meals.  We are truly fortunate.  Students discussed the start of winter this week and in celebration made sensory snow, created snow inspired play doh art, planned an arctic castle which required snow that children made from fabric, as well as winter and celebratory drawi...
