Pancakes and PJ's!
Good afternoon Oak Room Family! What an Amazing and Awesome day we have had! There has been so much excitement flowing through the Oak room. The children were thrilled to be making colored/rainbow pancakes in the classroom today and couldn't wait to enjoy them.
We asked the question "what's the difference between colored and rainbow?"
NP - Colors are all spread out.
GP - Rainbows have more colors because the colors red, yellow and blue make all the other colors and rainbows have all the colors not just red, yellow and blue.
How does the color change the pancakes?
GP - We use pancake dye that changes the color but they still taste the same.
It was time to get the pancake party started...check it out!
JB - E, yours look like peach orange.
GP - I'm using all the colors to make it rainbow.
CC - Mine is blue!
GP - Mine isn't rainbow it looks gray but I know they're going to taste good.
BW - It taste so yummy!
NP - J, yours is peach color.
JM - My pancake tried to runaway.
EO - They're bubbling!
NP - I don't call them pancakes anymore, I'm calling them bubble pancakes.
NP - I don't care what these look like I care how they taste and they taste good!
Look, my pancakes have eyes.
I see holes! This side doesn't have any holes and it didn't bubble up because it didn't get steamed up.
EF - Look at me and G's! They're the same except mine is a little darker.
AK - It's green! Greener than green and you guy's is like strawberry peach.
EF - G and A's are getting holes, that's because they're boiling.
AK -They're bubbbling!
EF - They didn't run away (as in the story the runaway pancake)...that's weird.
EF - Ooh, ooh, Eooh! They have so many holes!
Doesn't this look like a clam because it's folded over?
Mmmm! That was really yummy pancakes!
JB - This was the Best Day Ever!!!
