Caperiffic Thursday!!!
Friends came to school excited about yesterdays snow day. Unfortunately, it was too cold for us to go out to enjoy it. Instead, we brought snow in for capers and the children were very excited about that! We added spray bottles with water colors to make the snow extra special. In addition to the snow, friends explored with clay, cup stacking, and blending colors in Oak; playdough and bird invitations in Spruce and trains and sensory invitations in the hallway with Pine.
"I'm making cupcakes and pretend not eating them."
JM - This is so cool!
NN - We're putting a nest over the eggs so they can stay warm.
GK - These are worms for the birds.
RN - I made a rainbow bunny with floppy ears.
EO - I made eyes and a smile for my bunny.
"This is a rainbow flower."
"The baby doesn't look like an eagle. It is an eagle but it has warm feathers."
"I made a snowflake!"
"We're playing doctor!"
"I know how to make an eagle nest. First you do this (shaping the playdoh), then you add the bird, then you put the sticks around like this."
What a terrific day! Have a fantastic afternoon everyone!
