Fairy Garden
Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! The rainy weather did not keep the children from hanging out in the grass! Students enjoyed hanging out in the newly re-arranged small world area as well as creating an intricate fairy garden there. Students added more details to the cars and then hosted a demolition derby with one of the cars. Children started crafting clothes for the wooden dolls they previously carved, they created friendship paintings, they continued building rainbow worlds and studied the movement of color in more detail when they revisited salt painting today.
"Ooh! I combined all the colors on the green and it made a rainbow."
EO - It's moving because the salt is pushing the colors through.
When the color touches the mirror it gets bigger.
"Oh my gosh! This is cool! It's like a waterfall."
Have a great day!
