The Squishinator

Good afternoon, Oak Room Families!  The children really enjoyed The Squishinator in the gym this morning.  The children kept lining up to go through again and again so we started to ask them how they felt after they went through.  Children were quick to help each other if they couldn't get their head through by themselves.  After the sensory input from The Squishinator the Oak children continued their sensory journey in the classroom using clay in a variety of wet and dry states and some even built textured surfaces on slabs with the very wet clay.  Children studied the properties of water in the sensory table and tried out felt tip pens for a different feel to drawing and writing this morning.  The weather outside could not have been any more beautiful!

"Happy!"

"It makes me feel cold"

"Good. It's heavy."

"Like someone was rolling me up"

"Happy!"

"I like it!"

"Yeah!"

"It made me feel good"

"It's mommy long legs' arm!"

Have a wonderful day!
