Seed Planting
Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! Children enjoyed creating with different materials today using a variety of shapes and sizes of cardboard pieces, colorful tape, paper and crayons. Students let their imaginations run with what they could build. Some students started creating a fairy house and other fairy house objects so we got out the ceramic fairy house pieces that they made, glazed and fired before break to create a little fairy world. In celebration of Ms. Lena's birthday today we also had a seed planting party and each student planted the seeds of their choice in the paper pots they made before break. Students harvested seeds from soy stalks, calla lily pods, corn cobs, and cotton, and also planted four o'clock seeds. Children discussed what seeds need at meeting and they suggested that seeds needed dirt or soil, sunlight and water to grow and live. The children suggested that we monitor the seeds every day and continue to water them and watch them grow.
Have a great day!
