The Hundred Languages of Kindness
Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! The Oak Room children have been teaching adults about kindness for a few weeks now. Ms. Lena is in a grad school class and one of the things her group has been working on is studying inclusion which led to a study on kindness. Oak Room children have been eager to share artwork, their words and so much more to help teach adults about kindness. Please feel free to watch the linked YouTube video The Hundred Languages of Kindness that our group put together which includes input (and some artwork and words) from both the Oak Room students and from students of the other teachers in the group. DY - when uh when my mom was working upstairs I I washed a apple for her and put it on a tray and I gave her some water
DY - um if someone has a lot of artwork and when people dropped it a person could help pick it up
IF - sharing
CH - when we say nice words
CH - when somebody sad you could leave them alone
CH - one time that I asked Gertie if I could give her a hug she said no and I listened
LO - share magenetiles
KD - it’s like sharing is caring
GK - you could say you could say something but not but not yell about it and you could and you can also um share your toys
RN - when someone’s sad you can you can say do you want to play with me
GM - share materials
GM - When I’m done with dinner I help my mom put away the dishes
BW - if somebody feeling sad you could you could ask them if if um if if you could give them a high five
AF - don’t hurt people
OD - you help out people
KBS - well I always cook with my mom and I always clean up with her
TF - um when we were cleaning up for dinner I helped put put the dishes away

CH - nice
GK - so good that you could that you could play with somebody
GM - um it feels happy, happy
KBS - um kind and happy
TF - happy
NN - happy
RN - happy
DY - good
DY - It feels so good that you could jump all the way up to the moon
We will continue to look for and share kindness in the Oak Room and today we also worked with patterns among other things.
