Pouring with Pitchers

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  At Ambrose we eat lunch family style and children serve themselves most of the food.  Today the Oak Room students talked about pouring their drinks with a pitcher and practiced at meeting so that they could start pouring their own drinks at lunch in the cafeteria.  We practice many life skills at school such as learning to open snacks and milk, serve food and pass it around to others, putting on shoes, cleaning up messes, zippers (when the weather gets colder and we have jackets) and so much more!  It is such a joy watching children beam with pride when they get closer to and when they master new skills that they have been practicing!  We encourage practicing skills one step at a time until the children can do it independently.

Have a wonderful day!
