Storytelling

Good afternoon, Oak room families! At our meeting this morning, many friends shared ways that they stayed safe with their families throughout the storms on Friday night.

CC: "My mom turned on my light, picked me up, carried me downstairs, and then we watched Bluey."

WC: "I went in my basement."

JK: "I asked my dad when we would be safe. He told me that we were safe. I watched Bluey on my pad."

GB: "A tree fell down on the power line. Our lights were off but today they are back on."

We are so glad that (according to the children) no one had to deal with major storm damage. If that is not the case, please let us know if we can assist you or your family in any way, as always.

Oak room friends were also busy telling stories throughout many different materials this morning. Friends worked together to create cars with bristle blocks, told stories through drawings, played pretend with babies, and retold the story of Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See on the light table. It has been so fun to watch their creativity blossom through their work and we are excited to see where the concept of storytelling might take us. Stay tuned!
