Top of the Forest

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  This morning may have been our most fun this week.  We walked to [what we call] the "top of the forest" and played around the pergola, climbed on trees, played with sticks, ran around, played games with each other, a few students found some litter and brought teachers over so we could help take care of the space and keep it clean.  The children were full of joy and inventive with their play at the top of the forest.  They are excited for when we can go into the forest on our forest day on Monday.  We also had interest and curiosity about some eggs in our small world and ceramics made by prior students.  Students had questions about the eggs and are excited to start working in the language of clay in our classroom in the near future so teachers will be sure to get some clay soaked to begin that work in the near future.

MC: "Are the eggs real?"

OL: "They are not breaking"

JC: "It's hatching!... This looks like a real egg"

JC: "This looks like Earth"

GB: "These don't seem real they look like glass... It's like a rolling ball... This looks like an acorn, this looks like a star"

MN: "This looks like a tooth it has a broken ball at the bottom"

NS: "Do you want to see my nails?"

OL: "Acorns!"

JK: "I'm going to show you my nails"

Have a spectacular day!
