Painting with Glue and More

Good afternoon Oak Family!  It's been a delightful Tuesday in spite of the dreary looking weather.  Today we put the canvas board paintings back out with Q-tips and glue.  The children were excited to get back to work on them.  For the finishing touches they added plenty of glitter to give them extra sparkle.  It's a special surprise for our Amazing and Wonderful cooks!

We had plenty of glue and Q-tips left and they wondered what they could do with the rest of it.  They thought of the poster board we had painted yesterday and thought it might be a good idea to spread glue all over it and add glitter to it as well and that's exactly what they did! They asked if they could use paint brushes to spread the glue faster.  What a great idea!

They shook the glitter all over the board and Voila!!!  Check it out!
When they had completed their work they used the remaining glue to mix it with the glitter that was left on the paper. "This is so much fun" they exclaimed!

We created more designs with the colored gems as well as made faces with colored shapes and colored magnets on the magnet board!

Check out our fantastic line leaders for the day!!
