Larson Park!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  Oak Room went on a big adventure today we walked down to Sculpture Park but then turned and kept going until we got all the way to Larson Park!  Some children were excited to share what they had done and played at Larson Park previously with their families and other children were excited to explore a new park they had not been to before.  It was such a connecting and joyful experience for everyone.  The pole was a big hit, children patiently taught each other how they slid down the pole since not all have the same technique and they experimented trying to slide down the pole in new ways.  Some children had not previously slid down a pole by themselves and were scared to go down.  Some knew they didn't want to try the pole today but others tried, tried, tried, tried, and tried again until they successfully bravely slid down the pole.  Other children practiced holding on by the ground and practiced the feel and technique of the pole from the ground where they could focus without being so high up.  The children also worked together at the swings.  They helped each other figure out how to get on the swings or try flying on swings instead of sitting on swings.  It was a fantastic adventure full of climbing, friendship, new experiences and the joy of being outside.

I Love this place!

Have a brave day!
