Double Birthday Bash!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family!  We celebrated not one but TWO birthdays today in the Oak Room!  The two birthday-ees worked together to plan the celebration.  We had a fabulous pajama day complete with dance party and movie with popcorn!  Earlier in the morning children worked collaboratively with clay to create a home for some pretend mealworms.  Unfortunately their teacher cannot write notes as quickly as these children create beautiful ideas but some (not all) of the things the children built for the mealworms included: food, a slide, a swing, a little thing that they can sleep in, a tiny doll, a house with a roof, walls, floor and bench, a crib with a little hole for them so they can get in, something really cool, a couch, mealworms and baby mealworms, a lawn mower, a car, a slide, a few pools, furniture, chair, playground with tunnels, rocket ship, a roast, bananas, dead worms for them to eat, bacon and so much more!  The children were really thinking about what the mealworms might need and what they might enjoy and used a variety of clay tools to make gifts for our mealworm friends.

Have a wonderful day!
