Snow Walk and Birthday Celebration
Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! We had a great time celebrating AM's birthday today and he chose popcorn and a movie. We also made sure to take advantage of the great weather and both went for a walk and played on the playscape this morning. The children immediately noticed that much of the snow was gone and so we decided before our walk to look and see if we could notice where there was still snow and where the snow was gone and wondered why some snow was still there but some was gone. The children noticed among other things on our walk that the snow was gone from the trees but was still on the ground in some places. The children offered many explanations including that it might be too cold, the sun might not reach all places, there could be salt, there could be oil, TF suggested that lasers might melt the snow and the children offered many other ideas and suggestions to each other.
Have a great day!
