It’s Wednesday in case you lost track of time!

Good afternoon, Oak Room Family! We can’t thank you enough for sharing the beautiful pictures containing joy, learning, play, togetherness, and love from these days at home. It is such an unusual treat to get to share home, pets, and our life outside of school. We are hoping to build on these connections by launching the Oak Room Speaker Series in which we are inviting parents, grandparents, friends or family to come and share with the Oak Room students giving us the opportunity to deepen our community connections. If you have a hobby, interest, job, or story that you would like to share with the Oak Room then we would be thrilled to schedule a day and time that is convenient for you to visit the class and share with children and let them ask questions. You could also just come a read a story to the children if that feels more comfortable for you. This is not mandatory, it is only for fun, we are all very busy, but the more we can learn about others and connect with different people the more we grow our sense of belonging and community and the more we grow care and empathy for others. We hope you will consider sharing and connecting with the Oak Room! Next up, some of the fun students have been having at home!
