Oak Room Speaker Series & Artsy Thursday!
Good afternoon, Oak Room families! We were fortunate enough to be able to kick off our Oak Room Speaker Series this morning with two wonderful guest readers from O.H.'s family. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us! We look forward to having more visitors in our class soon.
As part of Week of the Young Child, we also celebrated Artsy Thursday. Children all had the opportunity to create a tie-dye flower that we will hang around the room to replace our snowflakes on the ceiling. We are hoping this brings more warm weather and no. more. snow!
REMINDER that tomorrow is Family Forest Day!
We are so excited to have time to enjoy one of our favorite places with some of our favorite people! Please let us know if you are able to attend, so we have an idea of how many to expect. We hope to see you there!
Here are a few things you will need to know:
-Families will meet us AT THE FOREST, under the pergola where the picnic tables are on the Jefferson side.
-We arrive around 9:40ish.
-Once we arrive, we will have our class gather under the pergola and will dismiss students to their family so everyone knows where students are.
-If a student's family is not able to attend, please help us by welcoming those students into your family. :)
-Oak Room knows our forest expectations, they are experts at remembering how to play safe. As a little reminder for all of you:
-Feet stay on the path in the forest
-Nature stays in the forest
-Let it grow!
-If you are carrying a stick, be aware of those around you.
-You have the gear, it's your choice how to play in mud and puddles
-Be curious, have fun!
