Signs of Winter

Good afternoon and happy Friday, Oak room families! We were so happy to be able to get out in the neighborhood and take a walk this morning. We looked for signs of winter.

C.S. said "there is snow."

W.C. said "we wear coats and hats and gloves because it is cold."

X.H. said "when we zip our coats it traps the heat in our body!"

We also continued exploring our lion for Lunar New Year. Although we do not formally celebrate holidays at Ambrose, it is important to expose the children to various cultural importances. The children took turns being the lion by standing inside the puppet, playing the drum to represent the lion's heartbeat, playing other instruments to represent the band, and leading the dragon. We discussed having a parade around the school or the neighborhood on Lunar New Year to help spread knowledge about this special day.

Some children got very into drumming :)

Have a fabulous weekend!
